Koutoubia

The minaret of the Koutoubia, dating from the nineteenth century, was the model for the Giralda in Seville and the Hassan Tower in Rabat. After taking Marrakesh by the Almohads in 1147, Abd-el-Moumen had built the Koutoubia on the site of a palace Almoravid.
